About
PRINCESS MONIQUE FILMZ
Princess Monique Filmz is a Black American television and film director, producer, writer, author, speaker, mentor, and entrepreneur based in Los Angeles. A Disney/ABC Directing Program alum, her episodic directing credits include Black-ish, The Goldbergs, BMF, Grand Crew, Run the World, First Wives Club, Bunk'd, and Clean Slate. She is also the author of Hood to Hollywood: How to Stop Waiting to Be Discovered & Discover Yourself.
But Princess is more than a creative. She is a builder.
Through storytelling, entrepreneurship, mentorship, and community, she builds worlds, platforms, opportunities, and pathways designed to live beyond her. Her work is rooted in a belief that our gifts are not simply meant to create success for ourselves, but to open doors, create ownership, and leave a legacy that creates possibilities for others.
Guided by faith, Princess has built her career by refusing to wait for permission to become who God called her to be. Her journey from Cleveland to Hollywood has become living proof of the message at the heart of her work: you do not have to wait for someone else to discover you. You can discover who you are, trust what God placed inside you, and take action on it.
Whether she is behind the camera, developing original stories, writing, speaking, mentoring emerging creatives, or building new ventures, Princess brings together vision, faith, courage, and execution. She doesn't simply imagine what could exist. She builds it.
Her mission is to use her God-given gifts to educate, entertain, inspire, create opportunities for others, and build a legacy bigger than herself.
Princess Monique Filmz transforms God-given vision, lived experience, and fearless creativity into stories, opportunities, and platforms that inspire people to stop waiting to be discovered, discover who they are, and build a legacy bigger than themselves.
